Since the day I used the letter headed paper I stole borrowed from the desk of the editor at Cosmopolitan magazine to get an interview with a legendary world boxing champ, I knew I was never going to be happy with a regular ‘job’.
Trust me, I’ve tried it. I worked nights as a cleaner in a hospital and worked for minimum wage in McDonalds … as a vegetarian. I never felt any job was ‘beneath’ me, there were just some I’d rather not do again …
Since then I’ve ticked off just about every ‘bucket list’ business achievement you can think of – and no, it didn’t come from manifesting it, working just 4 hours a week or idly dreaming about passive income. It came from doing the work. Work that I love.
I’ve spent years around a kitchen table with Sir James Dyson. I’ve written record breaking, best-selling business books. I’ve won more awards than I have games of scrabble. I’ve built multiple 7 figure businesses from the ground up and I’ve had a multi-7 figure exit to boot. Recognised as one of the ‘Top 20 Most Influential Entrepreneurs’ in the UK by the Sunday Times. And I’ve even received the highest honour possible from the Queen herself.
I’ve got the t-shirt, the papers and the medal.
